Fusion Triathlon Club are proud to announce The National Youth Triathlon Championships (ages 8-16yrs) and incorporating Fusion Triathlon Club's Go Tri Event.
The National Youth Triathlon Championships hosted by Fusion Triathlon Club is a fun event set in the grounds of Glasgow's Bellahouston Park. The event is aimed at all abilities and as well as hosting the National Youth Championships and is an ideal introduction to the sport of triathlon. The course is on traffic free park roads with the run course mostly on grass. All entrants will receive a goody bag with race day momento.
GO TRI IT event
A Swim/bike/run event. A fun, friendly, inclusive introduction to triathlon. Fun for all whether you are having a go at your first triathlon or brushing up on skills. Races will be timed but non competitive. Open to 16 years +.
Tristar Start Age 8: 50m Swim / 1.4km Bike / 600m Run
Tristar 1 Age 9 - 10: 150m Swim / 4km Bike / 1200m Run
Tristar 2 Age 11 - 12: 200m Swim / 6km Bike / 1800m Run
Tristar 3 Age 13 - 14: 300m Swim / 8km Bike / 2400m Run
Youth Age 15 - 16: 400m Swim / 10km Bike / 3000m Run
GO TRI IT Adult (16+): 400m Swim / 10km Bike / 3000m Run
Please note: Scottish Championship medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the TriStar 1 (age 9-10), TriStar 2 (age 11-12), TriStar 3 (age 13-14) and Youth A (age 15-16) age categories. There are no Scottish Championship prizes for TriStar starts (age 8). Instead, all children taking part in this age category will be provided with a Triathlon Scotland memento.
This race is held under the rules of TriathlonScotland and the British Triathlon Federation. The rule book can be accessed here.
Swim Time
Please be as accurate as you can be with your swim time. This is used to put everyone into heats and determines the starting order. If you don't know your swim time you can put down an estimated swim time for now and this can be updated at any time prior to 7 June, 2020 when the entries close. If you have put an estimated time, please go to swimming pool and time yourself so the heats can be as fair as possible.
